Usually only the touch panel breaks when the iPhone is dropped, which in the case of the iPhone 3G and 3GS can be replaced separately from the LCD display. Another issue could be that parts of the panel don't react to touch, in which case replacing the touch panel solves the problem.

In the case of the iPhone 3G and 3GS, the LCD display can be replaced separately. If the LCD is damaged, it displays colourful stripes, patches or it doesn't work at all. If the touch panel is in good condition, we only replace the LCD.

The backlight controller usually develops a fault because of overloading after liquid damage. Damage to the logic board during inexperienced repair could cause issues as well.

The logic board connectors are very sensitive, so badly trained repair personnel, liquid damage or dropping damage can impair them. Repairing them requires serious preparedness and experience, so it's important to take our device to the appropriate repair center.

A badly inserted SIM card or a bad quality SIM adapter can cause problems, which result in the iPhone not or not always recognising the SIM card. In these cases the SIM controller on the logic board has to be repaired.
